How it started

In the early nineties, the owner of a local manufacturing company
created a space where the people employed at his company could unwind, relax and spend quality time with their families in a recreational atmosphere. He designed this beautiful facility on a spacious piece of property nestled conveniently on the outskirts of a quiet Midwest Indiana town called Nappanee.

When originally created, this 50-acre recreational facility, lovingly named after the creator’s wife, had everything needed to create valuable, lifelong memories with friends and family: a 9 hole golf course surrounded by three ponds, trees and gorgeous scenery, lighted courts where you could pick up a friendly game of basketball or tennis, take a swim in the pool, play a round of shuffleboard or throw horseshoes. At one of the many picnic tables set about on the large cement patio, created for casual gatherings, you could take a break and enjoy conversation and food. Softball diamonds made up the back part of the property with adjacent soccer fields and volleyball courts. A 5,000 square foot building completed the vision with great lighting, high cathedral ceilings, balconies and a catering kitchen with a serving area.

Over the next decade, countless events were held and many memories were made. However, time went on and the numbers of families utilizing the facility decreased with each passing year. In the fall of 2017, the idea of an event/wedding venue was pitched and The Hall at Oakland Park was brought to life.

Keeping up with the long-standing family environment we strive to provide a beautiful, affordable space where you can celebrate life’s many moments, both big and small and create memories you and your family with treasure forever.
